Something about those first intimate snuggles, bonding with your little bundle, and those new baby smells.  You just welcomed a new life into the world, it is certainly something to celebrate with portraits to look back on for years to come.  There is nothing I love more than witnessing some of your first moments as a family! 

You may feel sleep-deprived, exhausted from a long labour or just generally getting used to life with a newborn, and if you’re a first-time parent you may not even feel “ready” for pictures at this point.  But that’s precisely the reason I find these sessions the most worth it!  You may not remember these beautiful, timeless moments months or years from now, but at least you will have pictures to help remind you how tiny and perfect your babe was, and how they fit perfectly into your family.

Hospital sessions are something I missed the most during the midst of the pandemic.  Fresh little baby and your first professional family photo – what could be better?!  I’m still waiting for my first Fresh 48 newborn session in the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon, but from what I can tell, it’s beautiful, and I look forward to it!
