I feel pretty lucky to have big brothers who continue to grow their families, and therefore keep me in business – haha! This is one of my new nephews, and it was such a treat to be able to snuggle him during his session. Being a covid-baby, I didn’t actually get to see much of him in his first several months as we did our best to adhere to the Saskatchewan restrictions, so getting to photograph him felt a bit like cheating! My brothers and sisters-in-law like to keep the gender a surprise during pregnancy all the way up until birth, so we were all VERY excited to hear there would finally be a boy cousin for my oldest nephew on our side of the family.

My very first newborn session would have been 9 years ago when my first niece was born. I now have 8 precious nieces and nephews, and I bet it would be a pretty fun comparison to look back at all those newborn photoshoots and see how much my skills have improved since 2012.
