This is a throwback to a previous studio, my old barnwood, and a few ‘styles’ ago, so I took some time to re-edit just a few of my favourite’s from this twin newborn session!  I don’t know if it’s because I have a couple sets of twins in my family, or if it’s because I nannied a set of twins for 4 years, but they sure hold a very special place in my heart.  Any set of multiples, I just find it to be pretty special that a woman’s body can grow not one but multiple babies who become perfect additions to that family.

My grandfather on my mom’s side had a twin brother, but to my memory, I don’t think I ever got to meet him.  I also have a couple of cousins who are twins, and though they live a long way away, they give the BEST bear hugs when they are around.  Although I’m nowhere near ready to have children myself, I do hope someday the twin/multiple genes will make their way into my future family.

This session was several years ago now, but the mom’s sweet story will always be one that I resonate with!  The details are a little fuzzy now, but I remember that she had made a deal with herself that if she was still single when she reached a certain age, she would make her own dreams to become a mother come true through the IUI process (intrauterine insemination) and she was lucky enough to gain two beautiful babies from it.  She is a true super mom in my eyes!
